Worship Ministry
Our goal at Kennesaw First is to lead those present to honestly meet with God in worship as we lift our hearts in praise.
Praise Band
The Kennesaw First Praise Band provides instrumental support for our corporate worship services. An audition is required for this group.
Orchestra
The Orchestra provides instrumental support for our traditional worship service. It is open to High School through Adults. No audition required, but a proficiency playing in all major and minor keys is expected..
Tech Team
In our technologically advanced and visually oriented society, media plays an increasingly vital role in our church’s worship services and events. The Kennesaw First Tech Team is a group of trained technicians who are sensitive to the worship experience aspects and the moving of the Holy Spirit. Our tech team provides technical support for our corporate worship services and special events. This team of volunteers operates our audio, video, and lighting ministries. Training is provided on each of our technical platforms.
Worship Choir
The Kennesaw First Worship Choir helps lead worship during our Sunday morning services and also presents seasonal productions during the year. Our choir is for ages high school and above. No auditions are required, and people of all skill levels are invited to be a part of this group. All that is needed is a love of Jesus and a love of singing. Rehearsals are Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m.
WHAT TO EXPECT
“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” – Romans 12;1
If I don't read music, can I still join the choir?
Yes! All you need is a love of singing. We’ll be happy to work with you so that you can learn the parts and participate with us.
Do I need to purchase any formal wear for choir programs?
Sort of…. we wear concert black on special occasions. Ladies: black blouse/skirt/dresses/shoes. Gentlemen: black shirts/pants/shoes.
How advanced do I need to be to play in the orchestra?
Because we use stock hymn arrangements, you need to be comfortable playing in all 12 major and minor keys.
When does the orchestra rehearse?
In our current format, the orchestra rehearses as a group once a month, usually the Wednesday before the first Sunday of the month. During that rehearsal we distribute and rehearse all the service music for the upcoming month.
Does the orchestra play for other services?
Yes, the orchestra provides accompaniment for the choir and congregation at our Christmas Eve services, and on other occasions

What kind of skillsets do you need on the Tech Team?
We have positions running cameras, mixing sound, and operating the presentations graphics for the service. Contact Tray Morrell if you’d like to join the team.

Chaston Miller
As the Worship Pastor here at Kennesaw First, my heart is to partner with you in cultivating a worshipping church that exalts Christ in every moment. Colossians 3:16 reminds us to, “Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you… singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” When we gather to sing, we exalt God for who He is, we educate the Kingdom by declaring His truth, and we edify one another through songs that strengthen faith. My desire is to help lead and encourage a culture of worship that draws us closer to Christ and equips us to serve Him with joy.
