Discipleship Ministry
” Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” -Matthew 28:19-20

- Mostly newly marrieds
- Mostly empty-nester

Small Group and Short-Term Discipleship Classes
Are you looking for a way to put your faith into action in practical ways? Short Term Discipleship Tracks are your key to gathering with a group of people with the same goal as you in a certain area of life.
Whether it is parenting, marriage, finance, sharing your faith, or other life issues, these groups give you an opportunity to learn and grow alongside fellow believers.
WEDNESDAYS | 6:30-7:30 PM
These groups are offered Fall, Winter, and Spring and meet weekly for a short term.

ATTRACT
Attract is simply the things you do to make people aware that your church exists.
GET
Get people in the door for the first time—whether for a weekend service or a special event.
KEEP
Keep is about your ability to keep people—new visitors and existing members alike—coming back.
GROW
Grow disciples in the context of your growth model.
MULTIPLY
Multiply is about those people who have adopted the mission of the church as part of their personal mission. They multiply the mission of the church through contributions such as leading small groups and ministry initiatives, giving regularly to the church, serving internally or externally, inviting, discipling and advocating for the church. These congregants are engaged in multiplying the mission of the church. They have moved from consumers of the mission to contributors of the mission.
WHAT TO EXPECT
“for the equipping of the saints, for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:12
What is discipleship?
Discipleship is the process that we go through to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, motivated by a love for God and a love for others. Discipleship can take several forms: ongoing small group meetings, mission trips, personal mentoring, corporate worship, personal Bible study, and many more.
What’s a Life Group?
A Life Group is a gathering of a small number of believers for Bible study, fellowship, and prayer.
How many people would be in my Life Group?
That number varies. We have some groups that are 8-12 members, and some that are over 20. We have a number of options depending on your personal needs and comfort level.
Can I try more than one group?
Absolutely! Our groups are established with “life station” in mind, and chances are we have more than one option for you to try. Most of our groups meet on Sunday mornings, but some meet on Sunday evenings or during the week.
What do we do in Life Groups?
You can expect Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Our desire is to see you connect with a community of believers as you grow as a disciple of Jesus.
What is a D-Life group?
A D-Life group is a much smaller Life Group, These groups usually have only 4-5 members that meet at various times during the week. The purpose of these groups is to give growing disciples an opportunity to experience a more intimate connection with fellow believers who hold each other accountable for Bible study, prayer, and sharing their faith with others. They are also regularly involved in mission projects in the Kennesaw community.
How do I get involved in D-Life?
Contact Discipleship Pastor, Ryan O’Kelly to join a D-Life group.
How do I connect with a Wednesday night Discipleship class?
We have several classes that meet each Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. Most follow a set schedule, so contact Discipleship Pastor, Ryan O’Kelly to determine the best option for you.
Meet the leader

Ryan O'Kelly
As Discipleship Pastor I desire to help all believers to not only grow spiritually but to also develop and care for their emotional, relational, and mental wellbeing. As a pastor and a counselor, I understand discipleship to be a holistic and lifelong journey because Jesus summed up the Mosaic Law with the Greatest Commandments: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:29-31). None of us begin our life being able to love the Lord with every part of us. Neither are we able to automatically love our neighbors just as we love ourselves–even loving ourselves is difficult apart from our true identity in Christ. I hope to be able to come alongside you to encourage, equip, and empower you as you follow Jesus and make disciples!
