What is dlife?

What is D-Life?

Here at Kennesaw First Baptist we want to cultivate a lifestyle of disciple-making. Jesus commanded us to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). What if everyone in our church could be fully equipped to live a lifestyle of disciple-making? This is the purpose of D-Life. D-Life is a simple, biblical, and reproducible process for equipping all believers for a lifestyle of disciple-making anytime and anywhere.

Living the DLife.

Living the DLife...

DLife is proven plan for making and multiplying disciples. It's not a program, but a lifestyle modeled after the example of Jesus Christ. It is a missional, multigenerational, and reproducible process for disciple-making. It is not designed to compete with other ministries in your church, but to complete them. Finally. It is a tool that will equip and empower believers for their supreme purpose in life.

Why the DLIFE?

Why the Dlife?

More people of all ages will begin to read the Bible daily as ministry and evangelism outside the walls of your church will increase. Groups will engage people outside our church family and point them to Christ. Unexpected leaders will commit to a lifestyle of disciple-making. Spiritual strongholds will be broken, lives will be transformed, baptisms will increase, and your community will be impacted.

WHAT TO EXPECT

“for the equipping of the saints, for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:12

Discipleship is the process that we go through to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, motivated by a love for God and a love for others. Discipleship can take several forms: ongoing small group meetings, mission trips, personal mentoring, corporate worship, personal Bible study, and many more.

A Life Group is a gathering of a small number of believers for Bible study, fellowship, and prayer.

That number varies. We have some groups that are 8-12 members, and some that are over 20. We have a number of options depending on your personal needs and comfort level.

Absolutely! Our groups are established with “life station” in mind, and chances are we have more than one option for you to try. Most of our groups meet on Sunday mornings, but some meet on Sunday evenings or during the week.

You can expect Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Our desire is to see you connect with a community of believers as you grow as a disciple of Jesus.

A D-Life group is a much smaller Life Group, These groups usually have only 4-5 members that meet at various times during the week. The purpose of these groups is to give growing disciples an opportunity to experience a more intimate connection with fellow believers who hold each other accountable for Bible study, prayer, and sharing their faith with others. They are also regularly involved in mission projects in the Kennesaw community.

Contact Discipleship Pastor, Ryan O’Kelly to join a D-Life group.

We have several classes that meet each Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. Most follow a set schedule, so contact Discipleship Pastor, Ryan O’Kelly to determine the best option for you.

Ryan O'Kelly

Discipleship Pastor

As Discipleship Pastor I desire to help all believers to not only grow spiritually but to also develop and care for their emotional, relational, and mental wellbeing. As a pastor and a counselor, I understand discipleship to be a holistic and lifelong journey because Jesus summed up the Mosaic Law with the Greatest Commandments: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:29-31). None of us begin our life being able to love the Lord with every part of us. Neither are we able to automatically love our neighbors just as we love ourselves–even loving ourselves is difficult apart from our true identity in Christ. I hope to be able to come alongside you to encourage, equip, and empower you as you follow Jesus and make disciples!
