Wednesday Night Discipleship

Home Events Adults Discipleship Featured Wednesday Night Discipleship

Wednesday nights are a great time to refocus in the middle of the week by joining with other believers to study God’s Word through an in-depth discipleship course taught by one of our many gifted teachers.  While some classes are ongoing and meet throughout the year, others are seasonal and have various ending dates.  For more information on Wednesday Night Discipleship, please contact the church office or email our Discipleship Pastor, Ryan O’Kelly at ryan.okelly@kennesawfirst.church. We would love to connect with you! Current classes offered are listed below.

Men’s Bible Study (an ongoing class, Room 337) – Join with other men as they study God’s Word for the purpose of growing and developing their relationship and walk with Christ. Ultimately, the goal of the men’s Bible study is to enable, empower, and equip men to be who God has designed us to be—spiritual leaders in our families, in the church, in the workplace.

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality (a quarterly study, Room 333) – Many Christians feel stuck in their spiritual growth or even burnt out from the ways they have learned how they are supposed to live out their faith in Christ. Peter Scazzero proposes that “it’s impossible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature” while offering fresh and transformative disciplines that will improve one’s spiritual and emotional health.
The Circle Maker – (a quarterly study, Room 335) – Mark Batterson encourages Christians to rediscover the power of prayer by drawing prayer circles around your family, your community, your challenges, and your dreams while also discerning God’s will for your life, uncovering your heart’s hidden desires, and connecting with God in fresh ways.
When They Stray – (a quarterly study, Room 339) – This series that is based on a national study of adults who grew up in church but became disconnected from the church for a year or more as an adult before making their return. This study may be most helpful and encouraging to parents, grandparents, and spiritual mentors of young adults who have become disconnected from or feel disillusioned with the Body of Christ.
Romans: Love in Action – (a quarterly study, Fellowship Hall) – In this eight-session video Bible study, Jada Edwards explores the Apostle Paul’s expression of our faith in his letter to the Christians in Rome and what that gospel-driven faith looks like in practice: how we love people, how we make decisions, how we live in community, and how we foster unity with others.
Financial Peace University – (a quarterly study, Room 334) – Learn how to effectively budget, set realistic financial goals, address debt quickly, how to save for retirement and investments from Dave Ramsey. The course will include video instruction, group discussions, and practical application of the Ramsey resources. To enroll in the course, it costs $99 for full membership access to the Ramsey website and resources.
