Wednesday Night Discipleship

Home Events Adults Discipleship Featured Wednesday Night Discipleship

Wednesday nights are a great time to refocus in the middle of the week by joining with other believers to study God’s Word through an in-depth discipleship course taught by one of our many gifted teachers.  For more information on Wednesday Night Discipleship, please contact the church office or email our Discipleship Pastor, Ryan O’Kelly at ryan.okelly@kennesawfirst.church. We would love to connect with you!

Fall Discipleship classes kick off on Wednesday, August 13th at 6:30pm. The classes offered this quarter include:

John: Believe I Am by Megan Fate Marshman. The book of John is foundational to our relationship with Jesus. This eight-session study by author and teaching pastor Megan Fate Marshman invites us to get to know Jesus in a personal and intimate way. We’re not meant to simply know a lot of facts about Jesus. You can know a lot about someone and yet not know them at all! By focusing on the seven “I Am” statements in John, we will come to truly know Jesus by spending time with him, sharing our life with him, and building trust in Him. Led by Lynn Gordon, will meet in the Fellowship Hall.

The Titus Ten by J. Josh Smith. Everything in a man’s life hinges on the kind of man he is. Yet, none of us is naturally a godly man. That’s something we have to learn, pursue, and cultivate. This book is a manual for becoming the kind of man God intends for you to be, and leading other men to do the same. Taking ten qualities from the Apostle Paul’s short letter to his mentee Titus, The Titus Ten will help you grow in your understanding of the gospel, your identity, your character, your doctrine, and more. As you grow in these areas of your life, you’ll become the kind of man God desires to use in your family, your church, and the world. Led by Marc Amason and Jeff Watson, will meet in Room 334.

Revelation, Part One by Dr. J. Perry Fowler. Perhaps no other book of the Bible feels as inaccessible and as intimidating to us as Revelation. Two thousand years ago, John’s Revelation was circulated and read aloud among seven churches in Asia Minor. Those who heard the letter understood it and drew encouragement from its message. The same can be true for you today. Join us as we take a closer look at Revelation and discover how it speaks both a steadying word of assurance and a strong call to endure to the church in every age. Led Dr. J. Perry Fowler, will meet in the Choir Room.

Jesus and Women by Kristi McLelland. Imagine walking the dusty roads of Galilee with Jesus of Nazareth—braving jostling crowds just to touch the edge of His cloak and hear Him say, “Take heart, daughter, your faith has healed you.” Those words, once meant to comfort a hurting woman’s soul thousands of years ago, were also meant for you. Join biblical culturalist Kristi McLelland on those dusty roads as she transports you back to Jesus’ world, following in the footsteps of the women who came face-to-face with the Living God. Examine the historical and cultural climate of first-century Middle Eastern society to not only understand Jesus more deeply but to fuel your worship of Him today.  Led by Jan Fowler, will meet in Room 335.

Also Offered: House of Prayer, led by Jud Henley will meet in Room 333. Men’s Bible Study, led by Terry Stork, will meet in Room 336. If you have any questions, please contact Discipleship Pastor, Ryan O’ Kelly at ryan.okelly@kennesawfirst.church
